How I became familiar with AMSOIL

You might wonder who are the people behind AMSOIL, what we do and why we do it. This is just a little information about me.

I have always been a mechanical kind of guy, wondering how things work and ways to keep them running better.

I remember hearing about AMSOIL about 25 years ago, and dismissed it as some kind of “super mystery goo” (you have probably seen and heard about the kind I am talking about- promise to give new life to dead engines)

What AMSOIL is

With the increased costs of cars nowadays, I became, like many others, became more interested in how I could “keep ‘em running” longer and better.

While searching for info on something I was working on with my car, I stumbled across AMSOIL. Remembering the name from years ago, I decided to read up on it a little more. (Are they still around? What was that stuff they were selling?)

I also change my own oil, and do the minor maintenance myself, so I was sort of familiar with synthetic oil. Ok, I saw it in the stores, didn’t know that much about it. So after reading and research, decided to give it a try. One of my favorite sayings is “I’ve wasted more money on dumber things.”

I was impressed. Both of our vehicles starting running better- RPM’s dropped, the “clicks and clatters” that were heard on start up quit, and overall the engines seemed to be running smoother, quieter, and at a lower temperature.

The more I read about AMSOIL, the more I was convinced, All of the applications and uses, the testimonials, proven over the years to ouperform all other lubricants, the list is just about endless.

It was then that I decided to be an AMSOIL dealer- this is good stuff, and everyone should know about it!

Everyone should go here at least twice

My wife and I love the Hawaiian Islands.
We are planning our 4th trip in January/February of 2011. This photo was from January of 2008, on the Big Island. From Honolulu to Maui, Kona to the North Shore of Oahu, we enjoy all our 50th state has to offer.

(Don’t sit on the sidelines saying “gee, I wish” or “I’ve always wanted to”… figure out what you need and develop a plan to get there.)
I can talk about Hawaii almost as much as AMSOIL- if you want some tips, e-mail me.

Yes, that’s me on my solo

Something else I always wanted to do was take flying lessons. Here I am on my solo flight a couple of years ago, out of Harrison, Arkansas. Did it in 32 hours- not too bad!
Even though I am still following general aviation, I had to put on hold finishing my pilot license for a little while, but I’ll be back!

A favorite saying of mine-

“I always regret things I didn’t do more than things I did do”

You can achieve whatever you want

About 15 or so years ago, I decided I didn’t like working in a factory. (Just 38 more years doing the same thing over and over until retirement)

I decided to go back to a junior college. Working full time on second shift, and carrying a full time student schedule.

I graduated in 1996 with 2 degrees- an Associate in Small Business Administration, and an Associate in Arts and Sciences. Why 2 degrees??
Because the Associate in Arts and Sciences degree fulfills the general education or core requirements for a Bachelor degree…..

Which I received in August of 1998 in Recreation and Park Administration with an emphasis in Commercial Recreation and Tourism.

Never forget that we are fortunate to live in the United States of America. Despite the problems that we may have, each and every one of us has the opportunity that billions of other people on the world may never have- the opportunity to dream and achieve whatever you want.
